The Life Of Robert: Road trip

If I was an Italian car I would probably prefer to be a Lamborghini or a Ferrari, driving fast or hanging out on the parking lot outside the fanciest places imaginable. But if this week, I was a rental car living at the Palermo airport in Sicily, there is absolutely no doubt that I would prefer to be a black Fiat Multipla. If I was that lucky black Multipla, I would by now have spent 4 amazing days showing 6 CEMS student the best of my island. I would by now been singing good old rock songs together with them, I would by now smiled to myself listening to them have a silly fight about who’s gonna be next to drive me, I would be fascinated by the different languages they talked, I would been wondering why they constantly tried to challenge each other with brain teasers and quizzes, and I would be almost scarily surprised by one of them screaming, stop, stop, STOP NOOOW!

Being on a road trip can be intensively cool, and sometimes when you try to get the most out of both the day and the night, and when curvy roads to the Etna Vulcano is combined with a slight hung over, the moment of puking can be dramatically near. This happened to one of my buddies the last day of our road trip. The fun part is that he was not alone about puking that day. “The puke to not puke”-ratio was 1.0 among us. (3 out of 6 had a though night/morning).

It is now over a month ago since I together with Audrey, Thomas Blake, Ivan, Martin and Thomas Bjarnesen, had a great week on the road in Sicily. After starting with some photo shooting at Segesta's ancient temple, we headed for Palermo, were we more or less managed to drive around in the most chaotic traffic I have ever experienced. Before we headed back to Milan we visited the mafiosos in Corleone, the Roman Amphitheatre in Siracusa and Etna, the volcano not far from Catania.
